(NBCOT) provides certification for the occupational therapy profession. The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) is a charitable, non-profit organization, which advances the science of occupational therapy and increase public understanding of its value. Promote OT was created by AOTA to promote awareness of occupational therapy. For occupational therapy licensure and regulations, visit the Rhode Island Department of Health. To contact your state legislators regarding issues pertaining to occupational therapy visit the Office of the Secretary of the State and the House and Senate Representatives.
